Despite the pandemic, UPLBAA decided to continue giving honor to our outstanding alumni. The ceremony was aired on October 10 through Facebook and YouTube.
DA Secretary William D. Dar (Ph.D. Horticulture ‘80) received the UPLBAA Presidential Award this year. Moreover, Dr. Florendo C. Quebral (BSA ’55; MS Plant Pathology ‘63) received the Nelia T. Gonzalez Service Award. Other recipients of individual awards are for the following: The Outstanding UPLB Alumni Award (8 awardees); the Colleges’ distinguished alumni awards (46 awardees); and The Outstanding Golden Jubilarian Award (7 awardees). There are also six families who were recognized for producing multi-generations of UPLB alumni namely, Catahan family, Robles-Sundo family, Platon family, Lawas family, Laurel family, and Aguiero-Panopio family. The organizers of the annual Prelude was also recognized during the ceremony. They are Capt. Mauro W. Barradas (BSA ‘70), Regent Francis C. Laurel (BSA ‘70), and Mr. Crisanto S. Gualberto II (BSA ‘62).
All have made significant contributions to their professions and vocations.
