Five hundred ninety nine UPLB alumni and guests flocked to Santor, Tanauan, in Batangas on October 7, 2017. The event dubbed “Prelude to Loyalty Day” was being held for 16 years now, the Saturday closest to October 10, which is UPLB’s Loyalty Day.

Hosted by powerful trio Mannie Barradas, Billy Gualberto and Regent Francis Laurel, the affair treated the visitors with sumptuous meal from breakfast to dinner, superb raffle, and a live band for no charge or cost to those who attended.

Graced by no less than the Mayor of Tanauan, Antonio Halili (who also rendered a couple of song much to the delight of the audience), praised the organizers for consistently being supportive of the projects of the city.

Class ’67, this year’s golden jubilarians, headed by Frank Moog invited the audience to attend some of the activities for the 99 th UPLB Loyalty Day particularly the grand alumni homecoming slated on October 9.

UPLB Chancellor Fernando F. Sanchez Jr together with his wife, Patricia, also graced the occasion.
