CFNR recognizes outstanding alumni on 107th founding anniversary

Five alumni of the College of Forestry and Natural Resources (CFNR) were awarded during the tribute for alumni and jubilarians held on April 20.

Dr. Manuel L. Bonita (BSF ‘67), international forestry consultant and Atty. Roberto V. Oliva (BSF ‘78), executive director of the ASEAN Center for Biodiversity, were given the Most Outstanding Alumni Award or the CFNR Mancono Awards.

Dr. Guillermo A. Mendoza (BSF ’73, MSF ’77), associate professor emeritus at the University of Illinois, was recognized as Outstanding Alumnus in Public Service for the International Sector.

Dr. Cecilia Navasero-Gascon (BSF ’86, MSESt ’93, PhDF ’98), president of Bulacan State University and Dr. Feliciano G. Calora Jr (BSF ’81, MSF ’85, PhDF ’92), president of Benguet State University, were awarded as the Outstanding Alumni in Institutional Service for the Education Sector.

CFNR celebrated its 107th founding anniversary on April 20-21.
