Who will be awarded as this year’s Outstanding Golden Jubilarians?
The Class 1974 search committee encourages alums to nominate from their class to the prestigious Outstanding Golden Jubilarian Award. This award is given to a golden jubilarian who demonstrated in their chosen field of endeavor, exceptional achievements, and outstanding contributions that bring about substantial benefits to society and distinct honor to their class or college and the university.
As they celebrate their 50th anniversary since graduation, it is high time to recognize the continued service and remarkable contributions of our golden jubilarians. This award aims to acknowledge those who have not only achieved significant career success but have also made meaningful contributions to their communities and upheld the values and spirit of a UPLB alum.
The nominees must come from the Class of 1974. If you are not sure of the year of graduation of the alum, you may verify this detail with the Office of Alumni Relations (OAR) through [email protected]. The nominations for the 2024 Outstanding Golden Jubilarians are open until July 15, 2024. You may send the nominations to the UPLB Alumni Association (UPLBAA) at [email protected]. For reference, the guidelines and form can be downloaded here.
The UPLBAA is making a special effort this time to identify for nomination, unsung alumni achievers—those whose achievements in little-known corners of the country are exceptional but have remained unheralded and unrecognized. The awardees will be honored on October 8, 2024 at the Charles Fuller Baker Hall.
