UPLB alumna shines in Gandingan

Prof. Arlyn Pinpin-Macapinlac (BACA ’91), professor and executive producer/radio host of Serbisyong Tatak UP (STUP), was honored during the Gandingan Awards 2019 on March 16.
Awarded as Most Development-oriented Radio Public Service Program, STUP is a talk program that airs on DZUP 1602, Mondays 9-10am. It is produced by the National Service Training Program (NSTP) Diliman Office in cooperation with UP Radio Circle and DZUP and is also live streamed through DZUP Facebook page. DZUP is the official AM radio station of UP Diliman.

Prof. Pinpin-Macapinlac was also a former faculty of the Dept. of Humanities in 1993 until her transfer to UP Diliman in 2012 where she serves as faculty of the Dept. of Philosophy, College of Social Sciences and Philosophy. Likewise, Prof. Macapinlac serves as director of NSTP Diliman Office since June 2017.

Gandingan Awards aims to encourage the production and airing of developmental radio and TV programs for the benefit of every Filipino. Its founder, Prof. Mark Lester M. Chico (BSDC 2007cl, MSDC 2013), conceptualized Gandingan in 2006. For 13 years, the UP Community Broadcasters’ Society Inc. is giving recognition to outstanding media programs and personalities.
